BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's basketball team is set to host an NCAA Division III Tournament First/Second Round regional in Morrell -Gymnasium, March 7-8. Complete regional information is available below.

Limited number of online tickets still available here. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon. NCAA minimum ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, students, and children.

Bowdoin College Polar Bears (27-0)
The NESCAC Champions are making their 22nd appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament overall and 21st since 2000. Only Messiah (23) has more D-III Tournament appearances this century than Bowdoin...the Polar Bears enter the NCAA Tournament as one of only two undefeated teams in Division III (NYU), and are entering the tourney unbeaten for the second time in program history (2004)...spearheading the effort this season for Bowdoin has been two-time NESCAC Player of the Year
Sydney Jones, who is the only player in program history to accumulate 1500 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists, and 200 steals in a career...she joined Lora Trenkle (Bowdoin) and Caroline Stedman (Amherst) as the only two-time NESCAC Players of the Year...
Abbie Quinn was a second team selection while head coach Meg Phelps, with assistants
Abby Kelly and
Taylor Choate, were named the conference's coaching staff of the year for the second time in a row...Bowdoin's hallmark this season has been their defense, which is allowing 45.1 points per game since NESCAC play began in early January. Only two teams have scored more than 60 points against Bowdoin this year and 15 of 27 opponents have been held to 50 or under.
SUNY Cortland Red Dragons (24-3)
Cortland is making its fourth NCAA tournament appearance in five years and 14th overall. The Red Dragons have an overall NCAA record of 8-14 and have twice advanced to the Sweet Sixteen (2001, 1992)… Cortland (24-3) won their ninth SUNYAC title overall and second in the last three years, while posting its fourth 20th win campaign in the last five seasons… Head Coach Colleen Ames is making her first NCAA appearance at Cortland and her second overall as a head coach. She led Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.) to the NCAA second round in 2022 after defeating Johns Hopkins in the opening round… Kayla Campbell was named the SUNYAC Co-Player of the Year. She is one of four Red Dragons to earn All-SUNYAC honors. In addition to her spot on the first team, Jackie Funk was named to the second team and Joleen Lusk and Kaeli McAnally were named to the third team…Funk was named the SUNYAC Tournament MVP after scoring a career-high 22 points in the semifinals versus Canton and 19 points in the championship game versus New Paltz.
Endicott College Gulls (22-5)
Endicott, the Conference of New England champions, are making their second-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament…in their only other prior appearance (2020), they collected their first-ever win over ranked opponent (Scranton) before falling to Christopher Newport in the second round… CNE Tournament MVP Sarah Dempsey is Endicott's all-time leading scorer (1,651 points) and rebounder (924)… Senior forward Libby Fleming is the first Gull to earn conference Defensive Player of the Year honors. She ranked first in total blocks (33) and blocks per game (1.3)… Sophomore guard Emma Shinney ranks 11th in D3 in assists (135) and 17th in assists per game (5.0)…Head coach Jamie Insel was hired in April of 2024 and was the first head coach in program history to claim conference Coach of the Year honors in their debut season.
Brooklyn College Bulldogs (17-11)
Brooklyn makes their fifth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament having won the last five City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) titles…the Bulldogs have won the conference championship six of the last seven seasons…Brooklyn's dynasty began back in 2018 when they won their first conference title since 1980… Head Coach Megan Campbell is coaching in her second straight NCAA Tournament in just her second season at the helm of the program. Campbell was an assistant coach for the Brooklyn squad that won their first NCAA Tournament game in the history of the program in 2022… Freshman guard Ameea Daniel was named the 2025 CUNYAC Rookie of the Year. Junior guard, Anna Kitch, was named a First Team CUNYAC All-Star. Graduate guard, Alina Estrella, earned Second Team CUNYAC All-Star accolades… A gritty defensive-minded team, the Bulldogs enter the tournament on a six-game winning streak and have outrebounded their opponents by an 8.6 margin per game this season.
