ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Bowdoin track & field team returns to Brunswick with All-American hardware following the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship.
Kennedy Kirkland landed on the podium with a sixth-place finish in the long jump. Kirkland jumped 5.74 m on her second attempt to earn All-American honors. Kirkland finished 16
th in the 200 m with a time of 25.25 and Second Team All-American designation. Kirkland is Bowdoin's first women's long jump qualifier and All-American.
Kane Demers was also a Second Team honoree after finishing 13
th in the 200 m with a time of 22.04. Demers competed in the 60 m hurdles and finished 19
th with an 8.43.
Bowdoin's men's distance medley relay team earned All-American with a sixth-place finish and a time of 9:56.39. Matthew Servin, Adepoju Arogundade, Oliver Brandes, and Will Goddard bring home the hardware after the relay moved up one spot during the second leg, two on the third, and another two on the final stretch. The team improved upon its eighth-place seed to earn the sixth-place final result.
