LEWISTON, Maine – The Bowdoin women's swimming and diving team took second place at the CBB Meet hosted by Bates on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears finished behind Colby, but ahead of Bates.
 
Meet Highlights

• The meet boasted 10 new pool records, with four coming from Bowdoin swimmers.
• First-year standout Natalie Garre continued shattering records with wins in the 500 free (4:58.94) and the 1000 free (10:03.60) which she won by almost 20 seconds. Garre's win in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:00.62 set a new school record. Teammate Liv Smith took third in the backstroke with a 2:05.12.
• Elizabeth Walsh broke another Bates pool record in the 200 IM with a winning time of 2:05.28. Walsh was runner-up in both the 200 breaststroke (2:21.74) and the 200 fly (2:04.57). Harper Stevenson finished just behind in the fly with a 2:04.66.
• Stevenson earned a pair of second place finishes in the 200 free (1:54.03) and the 100 fly (56.94). Sydney Lillis was third in the 100 fly with a 57.49.
• Sadie Smith swept the diving events, scoring 268.35 on the 1meter and 270.45 on the 3meter. Ursula von Goeler finished second to Smith in both events with 267.50 and 218.70.
