JACKSON, N.H. – The Bowdoin Nordic team concluded the carnival season at the EISA Regional Championship with three skiers earning the right to extend their seasons.
The Polar Bears put together a team fifth-place performance, on par with consistent results throughout the season. The women finished third, the second-best all-time finish for the women at regionals in program history.
Carnival Highlights
- Friday was a 7.5k classic individual start race comprised of two laps around a 3.75k course. The Polar Bears were paced by Emma Crum who finished in fifth place. Jordan Grialou finished 13th and Gillian Fairfax skied into the top-20.
- On the men's side, William Riley finished 20th overall and Adam Carlisle took home 26th.
- Emma Crum won her second race of the season in taking home gold at Saturday's 15k mass start skate event. Crum made a move during the third and final lap of the race to create separation from the pack and held off a charging UNH skier for a two second victory. Fairfax and Grialou finished back-to-back in 14th and 15th with Keira Scott snagging top-30.
- Adam Carlisle had a fantastic race on the men's side with a sixth place finish to help punch a ticket to nationals.
- Carlisle, Crum, and Grialou all earned spots at the 2025 NCAA National Championship that will take place at Dartmouth in March.
- Emma Crum was named First Team All-East at the conclusion of the carnival and was the top-ranked skier in freestyle this season.
