Box Score AMHERST, Mass. – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team suffered just its second conference loss of the season in a 3-0 setback at Amherst on Friday night.
 
The Polar Bears are 13-3-0 (7-2-0 NESCAC). The Mammoths improve to 13-3-1 (6-2-1 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
	- The Mammoths took a 1-0 lead five minutes into the game. Cara Mancini circled all the way from behind Bowdoin's net back up to the top of the zone. Mancini fired a shot through traffic to find goal.
 
	- While on the power play in the period's final minutes, Bowdoin was called for a penalty and the teams went to four-on-four. The Mammoths won the ensuing faceoff and kicked the puck back to Clare O'Connor. O'Connor put the puck into the low slot where Ayla Abban deflected it past Sarah Peterson.
 
	- Amherst extended its lead with 5:55 remaining in the second as Natalie Fu buried a wrister stick side on Peterson.
 
 
By the Numbers
	- The Polar Bears suffered from a season-high eight penalties against the Mammoths.
 
	- Natalie Scott had a 19 save shutout.
 
	- Peterson made 20 stops for the Polar Bears.
 
	- Bowdoin went 0-for-6 on the power play and Amherst was 0-for-8.
 
	- The Mammoths held a 40-24 edge on the faceoff dot.
