Women's Golf Enjoys Record-Setting Weekend at Polar Bear Shootout

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's golf team set 18- and 36-hole team scoring records in placing fourth in a deep field at this weekend's season-opening Polar Bear Shootout hosted at Brunswick Golf Club.
 
Tournament Highlights
  • Bowdoin placed three golfers in the top twenty and had four shoot under 160 in an outstanding weekend performance that shattered the school records for 18-hole score (304 on Saturday) and 36-hole score (611).
  • In her first collegiate tournament, Emily Renoff went 74-74-148, shooting the best round by a Polar Bear women's golfer since Caroline Farber (146) in 2017. Renoff finished in fifth place overall.
  • Shivani Schmulen went 74-77-151 to place 12th overall, followed closely by first-year Katie Ng, who took 20th with a 78-76-154.
  • Emilia Rose shot a two-day total of 159 to take 27th for the Polar Bears.
  • Hailey Ryan (44th, 165), Ocean Park (169), and Muzi Wen (182) rounded out the Bowdoin competitors for the weekend.
