HARTFORD, Conn. – The Bowdoin College men's golf team posted its best-ever finish at the Detrick Invitational hosted by Trinity College this weekend at Keney Park Golf Course.
In a field that included 15 of the top teams in New England, Bowdoin finished with a two-day total of 590 (+15), trailing only Trinity (585) and Hartford (589), and tying Williams for third.
Tournament Highlights
- Bowdoin was consistent across both days of the tournament, shooting 295 on both Saturday and Sunday.
- Ian Harris was the low Polar Bear for the weekend, finishing at +4 (71-73-144) to end in third place, four shots off the winning score.
- Jack Barned (74-71-145) was in a tie for fourth place while Matthew Cohen (72-74-146) also earned a top-ten finish in seventh place individually.
- The Polar Bears also got top-30 performances from Joey Zhang (13th, 147), Ned Dean (23rd, 150), and Andrew Flynn (30th, 151).
