Cohen's Second Place Finish Leads Men's Golf at Tim Brown Invitational

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. – Behind a sparkling performance from first-year Matthew Cohen, the Bowdoin men's golf team finished in a tie for fifth place last weekend at the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore College at Ballston Spa CC.
 
Tournament Highlights
  • The Polar Bears finished with a two-day total of 582 (290-292) to end in a fifth-place tie with Babson. Trinity won the event with a team score of 566.
  • Matthew Cohen finished in a tie for second place, ending the tournament at -6 with a two-day score of 136 (70-66). It is the best score to par for a Bowdoin player at a two-day tournament in the last 15 years. Cohen was on fire in Sunday's second round, carding five birdies and an eagle on his way to a 66 (-5).
  • Ian Harris finished in 29th with a 146 (73-73), followed closely by Jack Barned's 148 in 36th spot (71-77).
  • Andrew Flynn (75th, 152) and Joey Zhang (89th, 154) rounded out the Bowdoin competitors.
