BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin women's basketball assistant coach
Abby Kelly '19 has been named a WBCA Thirty Under 30 honoree for the 2023-24 season. Created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches aged 30 and under at all levels of the game, each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.

Kelly, in her second year as assistant coach under
Megan Phelps, helped lead the Polar Bears to a 28-3 record, NESCAC Championship, and NCAA Division III Elite Eight appearance this winter. She and Phelps were recognized as the NESCAC Women's Basketball Coaching Staff of the Year.

One of the most decorated players in Bowdoin program history, Kelly was the 2019 NESCAC Player of the Year, a First Team All-American and captain for Bowdoin during the 2018-19 campaign and helped lead the Polar Bears to consecutive NCAA Division III title games in her junior and senior seasons. Prior to returning to Bowdoin, Kelly was an assistant coach at Noble & Greenough for three years.
