BRUNSWICK, Maine – A pair of Bowdoin volleyball players have been recognized in All-American honors announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Sophomores
Skye LaMendola (Farmers Branch, Texas) and
Haley Campau (Louisville, Ky.) both earned Honorable Mention All-American recognition for the Polar Bears.
LaMendola, who was a First Team All-NESCAC choice for the second straight year, earns her second straight Honorable Mention All-American honor thanks to another stellar campaign. She led Bowdoin and was fourth in the conference in kills per set (3.37) and points (3.67). LaMendola also posted 2.79 digs per set to rank third on the Polar Bears.
Campau earned a Second Team All-NESCAC nod and captures her first All-American honor thanks to an outstanding campaign that saw the sophomore rank second in the league in hitting percentage (.319) while also ranking in the top 15 in the conference in total blocks (59) and service aces (31).
