Box Score MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team suffered a 5-0 shutout loss at Middlebury to begin the 2024-25 season.
The Polar Bears are 0-1-0 (0-1-0 NESCAC) as the Panthers begin with a 1-0-0 (1-0-0 NESCAC) record.
Game Highlights
- Middlebury scored at 6:07 in the first period to put Bowdoin in an early hole. Tucker Lamb put a shot on pads and Andrew Malatesta quickly poked in the rebound.
- The Panthers made it 2-0 in the final three minutes of the period as Jin Lee jumped on another rebound on the left post.
- Middlebury's lead continued to grow with a second period power play goal. Ryan Pineault put a shot on pads that trickled through.
- Lamb tallied a goal of his own midway through the second. Lamb's shot from the left point sent the puck rising on its way to the goal and went over the goalie's shoulder.
