BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College field hockey team had two players named in All-Conference honors announced on Tuesday morning.
Senior midfielder
Maya Malenfant (Weston, Mass.) earned a First Team All-NESCAC selection, while sophomore midfielder
Clara Noyes (Lexington, Mass.) netted Second Team recognition.
Malenfant co-led the team with nine goals and was a top-ten scorer in the conference. Malenfant and Noyes both recorded five assists during the season to rank second on the Polar Bears' roster. The offensive output placed Malenfant in the top-ten for total points in the NESCAC this season.
Noyes played a key role in both offensive and defensive corners. The sophomore took the majority of direct shots following inserts on the Polar Bears set pieces and earned all five of her assists on penalty corner plays. On the opposite end of the field, Noyes was part of a defensive corner unit that found its stride. In the team's final game against Tufts, Bowdoin faced 15 penalty corners and allowed only one goal off the opportunities.
