Football Looks to Continue Momentum at Williams Saturday

SATURDAY'S GAME
In a match-up between teams stacked in the middle of the conference standings, the Williams College football team (2-1) hosts Bowdoin (1-2) on Saturday at Farley-Lamb Field. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m.

LIVE COVERAGE
Williams will broadcast the game live on the Northeast Sports Network. Live stats can be found here.

LAST WEEK
Behind 313 yards of total offense from Robbie Long, and a stellar defensive effort by NESCAC Player of the Week Koy Price, Bowdoin defeated Hamilton 28-21 at Whittier Field.   Williams led 14-0 early in the second quarter, but surrendered 45 unanswered points after that in a 45-14 setback to Trinity last Saturday in Hartford.

LAST MEETING
Last year in Brunswick, the Polar Bears posted their first shutout since the 1998 season and blanked Williams for the first time since 1979 in a 20-0 win at Whittier Field. The Polar Bears held Williams to just 60 yards on 32 first half plays, including -2 yards passing and just four first downs. Bowdoin had six sacks on the day, including two apiece for Max Jacobs and Koy Price.

BOWDOIN vs. WILLIAMS – ALL-TIME
Bowdoin's win last year snapped a nine-game winning streak by Williams in the rivalry. Williams owns a 57-16-6 edge all-time with the first meeting coming in 1890. The Polar Bears are looking for consecutive wins in the series for the first time since winning three straight against the Ephs from 1977-79.
