BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin senior
Koy Price (Norwalk, Conn.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Price made several dynamic plays all over the field Saturday as the Polar Bears defeated Hamilton, 28-21. Price had an interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter to give Bowdoin its first lead of the game. The linebacker had 2.5 tackles for loss, including two sacks in huge situations. With Bowdoin regaining a 28-21 advantage in the third quarter, Price made a third-down sack that forced Hamilton to punt on the next possession. On Hamilton's final drive of the game, Price snuffed out a comeback attempt with a sack for a loss of 12 yards, clinching the game for Bowdoin.
The senior linebacker is currently second in the league in tackles for loss with 5.0, second in sacks with 3.5, has an interception, a forced fumble, and has helped account for eight Bowdoin points this year (safety, touchdown).
The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday at Williams at 1:00 p.m.
