NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Bowdoin College women's rugby team ran away from Norwich on Saturday afternoon in Vermont, cruising by an 85-7 margin of victory. The Polar Bears improve to 3-0 this season with the victory.
 
Match Highlights

• Bowdoin got early trys from Rebecca Vakarau and Colleen Doucette, both converted by Lauryn Eisenhart, to take a 14-4 lead eight minutes into the match.
• After a Norwich try trimmed the lead to 14-7, Bowdoin rolled off 38 points before halftime to put the contest out of reach.
• Scores by Eisenhart, Vakarau, Mia Daoust, Lulu Linkas, and Sage Tonomura-McDonald pushed the lead to 45-7 before a penalty try from Katie Stomma capped the half, making it 52-7 at the break.
• Maggie Norton, Kyra Bishop, Justine Endo-Ferguson, Eisenhart, and Stomma added second half scores to push Bowdoin to 85 points.

• Eisenhart had eight conversions in the victory.
• Tonomura-McDonald's try was the first of her Bowdoin career.  
• Bowdoin's forwards continuously won scrums throughout the match, helping lead the Polar Bears to a season-high point total. The Polar Bears have outscored their opponents 197-22 this season.
