Men's Golf Places Seventh in Loaded Field at Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's golf team placed seventh this weekend at the Bowdoin Invitational. The tournament featured its largest-ever field of 22 teams at Brunswick Golf Club, including several of the region's top teams.
 
Tournament Highlights
  • Trinity came away with the first place finish, ending with a score of +13 over the two days. Bowdoin was in a tie for seventh, nine strokes off the lead, at +22 for the tournament.
  • Joymuth Luangtana-anan of NYU claimed medalist honors, finishing at -4 (73-67), defeating Ashton Lewis of Eastern Connecticut (-3) by a single stroke.
  • Bowdoin was led by a 17th-place finish from Ian Harris (77-71) at +4 for the tourney, while Andrew Flynn was 22nd at +6 (74-76).
  • Jack Barned (+6) and Joey Zheng (+7) were in 22nd and 30th, respectively, to round out the top Bowdoin finishers for the weekend.

  • Bowdoin will return to Brunswick Golf Club next Saturday, September 30, when the Polar Bears host the CBB Championship.
