MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin College men's golf team matched its best-ever finish at the Williams Fall Invitational, taking eighth place in a 22-team field this weekend at Taconic Golf Club.
 
Tournament Highlights

• In a loaded field, the Polar Bears were consistent, shooting 303-303 to finish at 606 for the tournament, edging out host Williams (607) for eighth place.
• It matches the best finish for the Polar Bears in the event, that included all of the region's top teams, and nine NESCAC schools. Bowdoin also took eighth in 2011.
• First-year Joey Zheng ended in 11^th place individually, leading Bowdoin with a +5 for the tournament at 75-72-147.
• Jack Barned was right behind in 16^th at +6 (72-76-148)
• Andrew Flynn (+13, 78-77-155), Ian Harris (+14, 78-78-156) and Matthew Cohen (+18, 82-78-160) rounded out the Bowdoin competitors.
