Men's Golf Earns Best-Ever Finish at Middlebury's Duke Nelson Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin College men's golf team recorded its best-ever finish at the Middlebury Duke Nelson Invitational this weekend. The Polar Bears took a fourth-place finish overall in the competitive 24-team field and bests the previous best-ever finish at the tournament; a sixth-place finish last year.
 
Tournament Highlights
  • Leading the way for Bowdoin was Jack Barned, who posted consecutive even-par 71's to total a two-day score of 142, just three shots off the winning score.
  • Andrew Flynn enjoyed a an excellent first weekend of intercollegiate play, shooting 76-70-146 to take 14th individually.
  • Oscan Wen (71-78-149) was 25th individually, followed by Matthew Cohen (76-78-154) in 50th and Liam Jachetta (80-76-156) in 72nd.
