SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Bowdoin College outdoor track & field teams came away with a pair of individual regional champions at the New England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Springfield College last weekend.
The women's team placed fourth in a field of 34 teams while the men's team placed 7
th of 35 squads. Bowdoin's New England champions included decathlete
Dov Mcguire-Berk and the women's 4x400 team of
Katherine Page,
Gabby Phillips,
Cianna O'Flaherty, and
Kianne Benjamin.
Meet Highlights
- In warm conditions throughout the weekend, the Polar Bears set numerous season-best performances in one of the region's top meets.
- Dov Mcguire-Berk earned the New England title in the men's decathlon, totaling 5,725 points. He placed first in the 100m and long jump to secure his 117 point win.
- In the women's 4x400 meter relay, Bowdoin's quartet ran away from the field, winning by over two full seconds in 3:50.65 and breaking the school record of 3:51.53 set in 2019.
- Other top performances on the women's team included Kianne Benjamin placing second in the 200m (24.74) and third in the 100m (12.14). Emma Hargreaves was second in the hammer throw (50.41m) and fifth in the shot put (12.41m).
- For the Bowdoin men, Ajay Olson took second in the 200m (21.18) and was part of Bowdoin's second-place 4x400 meter relay team (3:18.05) along with Jared Joyce, Adepoju Arogundade, and Max Russo. Russo also took third in the 400m hurdles.

- Emma Barker now 4th all-time at Bowdoin (steeple) in 11:28.70.
- Brooks now 4th all-time at Bowdoin (1500m) in 3:52.25
- Lauren Traum now 8th all-time (800m) in 2:16.46.
- Emma Hargreaves improved her hammer throw to 3rd all-time (50.41m)
- Max Russo moved to 4th all-time in 400 hurdles (54.29).
- Men's 4x400 ranks 4th all-time (3:18.05) at Bowdoin.
- Inga Dovre is now 4th in heptathlon (3,700)
- Sophie Maguire moved into a tie for third in the pole vault (3.35m).
