BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's rugby team completed a perfect regular season with a 55-3 win over the University of New England on Wednesday afternoon at Pickard Field. The Polar Bears (6-0) who last ran the table in the 2021-22 campaign, will host a NIRA Division III semifinal match on Saturday, November 11.
 
Match Highlights

• Bowdoin overwhelmed the Nor'easters from the start, scoring the first 26 points of the match and cruising to their ninth straight win over UNE.
• Saniya Ridley got Bowdoin on the board early and, following a Colleen Doucette try, Lauryn Eisenhart scored nine straight points.
• Jorja Markella, Eisenhart, and Maddy Komoski added first half tries for Bowdoin.
• Kyra Bishop, Mia Daoust, Chinwe Burns and Katie Stomma capped the scoring with second-half tries for Bowdoin.
• Bowdoin played exceptional defense, holding UNE to just a penalty kick. Lex Renkert made her first ever start at #6 for the Polar Bears and spearheaded the outstanding defensive effort.
