Men's Golf Posts Impressive Fourth-Place Finish at Skidmore Invitational

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Bowdoin College men's golf team finished their fall campaign with one of their most impressive performances of the season, taking fourth at the Skidmore Invitational at the Saratoga Spa State Park Golf Course on Sunday.
 
Tournament Highlights
  • Limited to a single round due to inclement weather on Saturday, the Polar Bears carded a +3 total (291) as a team on Sunday to finish in a tie for fourth place, just three strokes off the winning total in the highly-competitive 21-team field.
  • The Polar Bears had two players shoot sub-par rounds in first-years Andrew Flynn (-1, 71) and Matthew Cohen (-1, 71) to finish in a tie for ninth individually, three strokes of the winning total.
  • Jack Barned was at +1 (73) in a tie for 23rd with Liam Jachetta at +4 (76) to round out the Bowdoin scorers for the weekend.

  • Bowdoin will return to action in the spring semester, which includes the NESCAC Championship on April 27-28 at Brunswick Golf Club.
