Cross Country Teams Earn High Finishes as Suffolk Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – The Bowdoin College cross country teams earned high finishes at the Suffolk Invitational on Saturday at Franklin Park.

Meet Highlights

The Polar Bear women took second place overall to Colby, tying the Mules in points (62) but losing the tiebreaker to end as runners-up in the 27-team field. The Bowdoin men placed third with 112 points in a 25-team field.
Stephanie Chun led a late charge in the race for the Polar Bears, finishing in third individually in the women's race in a time of 23:07.4 in the 6k race. Abby Mueller was in eighth place with a time of 23:25.1
Claire Wyman (14^th, 23:44.8), Lauren Traum (16^th, 23:49.5), and Tori Bacall (21^st, 23:57.2) rounded out the top five finishers for the women's team.
The men's team withheld some top runners in advance of the conference championship in two weeks but Sam Angevine placed sixth in the 8k event in 25:55.3.
Oliver Brandes was 11^th in 26:04.5, Ashton Dunlap took 22^nd in 26:30.9, with Adam O'Connor (44^th, 27:03.2) and Nicholas Mott (48^th, 27:09.9) rounding out the top Polar Bear finishers.
