Box Score MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team suffered a series sweep at Middlebury after falling 3-1 to the Panthers on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears are 10-10-1 (6-9-1 NESCAC) to conclude the regular season. The Panthers wrap the regular season with a perfect 21-0-0 (15-0-0 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- The Panthers went ahead on a power play goal with 27 seconds remaining in the opening period. Cat Appleyard had the puck on the outside edge of the left circle and wristed a shot just inside the far post.
- Middlebury doubled its goal tally just under six minutes into the second. Madie Leidt scored on a wrap-around move, tucking the puck inside the left post.
- Leidt scored 1:30 into the final frame on a power play. Leidt wristed a shot from the left dot to the far side.
- Bowdoin scored its first of the game midway through the final period. Izzi Stoddard took a turnaround shot from the right point and Gia Massari deflected it as it came through in front of the crease.
