BOSTON, Mass. – The Bowdoin College indoor track and field teams posted outstanding performances in one of the nation's premiere events – the Dave Hemery Valentine Invitational – last weekend at Boston University that featured numerous top teams from the northeast. 
 
Men's Meet Highlights

• Highlighting the weekend was the performance of Bowdoin sprinter Ajay Olson, who recorded the top time in Division III this season (21.31, banked track, adjusted to 21.70) in the 200M event. It smashed the school record in the distance, was fourth all-time in Division III, and was fourth overall in the meet.
• John Auer took 19^th in his debut in the 3000M distance, moving up to fifth place all-time at Bowdoin in the event (8:30.06).
• Andrew Meredith (14:47.37) placed 16^th and John Hood (14:52.90) took 20^th with career bests in their sections of 5000M race, both qualifying for the New England Championship.
• Ryan Durkin led the way in the field events for the Polar Bear men, taking 14^th and clearing a height of 4.25m in the pole vault.

Women's Meet Highlights

• Among top finishers, Charlotte Hodge paced the Bowdoin women, taking fourth in the pole vault at a height of 3.60m.
• Cianna O'Flaherty had a personal best in the 400M (58.27), placing 47^th individually in the meet.
• Emma Noel (800M; 2:21.49), Leila Trummel (mile; 5:02.61), Stephanie Chun (3000M; 10:10.18), and Abby Mueller (3000M; 10:29.12) all also recorded personal best times for the Polar Bears in highly-competitive fields.
