Box Score GORHAM, Maine – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team returned to the win column with a 3-0 victory over host University of Southern Maine on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears climb to 3-4-0 on the season. The Huskies are 5-7-0 on the year.
 
Game Highlights

• Bowdoin went ahead 1-0 at 13:48 in the first period. Anyi Sun put a shot on pads from the left side in front of the crease. The rebound kicked to the far side where Sara Ito-Bagshaw cleaned it up for the lead.
• Just 1:51 into the second period, while on the power play, Peyton Mulhern teed up a shot from the high slot. Zoe Wilson deflected the shot as it came through traffic and put the puck on pads. Allie Britt tracked down the rebound and put it in for a 2-0 lead.
• Bowdoin earned a power play midway through the third period, allowing Allie Britt to find her second power play goal of the game. Jackie Miller controlled the puck on the left side and made a flat pass to Britt between the dots. Britt one-timed the feed before it could cross her body to make it 3-0.

 
By the Numbers

• The Huskies spent 16 minutes in the box and surrendered a pair of power play goals. Bowdoin went 2-for-8 on the power play.
• USM was 0-for-3 with the extra skater.
• Bowdoin allowed just 18 shots on net that were all turned away by Sally Solotaroff-Webber.
• Haley McKim made 46 saves for USM.
