BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin's
Tristan Bradley and
Reid Staples competed at the ITA Cup while another contingent of Polar Bears competed at the Wesleyan Invitational as the men's tennis team closed out its fall semester schedule last weekend.
Bradley, the New England ITA champ, advanced all the way to the finals of the ITA Cup, winning a trio of straight-set victories to reach the title match. Against Advik Mareedu of CMS in the finals, Bradley battled but lost an eventual 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 decision.
Reid Staples advanced to the semifinal round himself, also dropping to Mareedu, after posting a pair of impressive victories.
At the Wesleyan Invitational in Connecticut, Bowdoin's remaining team members got some experience battling regional opponents in advance of the spring campaign. The top performances of the weekend came in the doubles courts, where Bowdoin's duo of

Andrew Mendelson advanced to the semifinals of the A-Doubles bracket. In the B-Doubles draw the teams of
Geoffrey Golan/
Mick Tamas and
Sujan Garapati/
Mark Kneiss also reached the semifinal round.
