BRUNSWICK, Maine - Tristan Bradley and Reid Staples highlighted a strong opening weekend of play for the Bowdoin men's tennis team at the ITA Regional Championship hosted in Brunswick this weekend. 

At the conclusion of three days of play, Williams' Chase Cohen claimed the singles tournament while the Laber/Harris team from Middlebury claimed the doubles bracket.

Bowdoin Tournament Highlights

• Tristan Bradley and Reid Staples both made runs to the semifinals of the singles bracket and turned out the best doubles performance for the Polar Bears as well. 
• Bradley won four singles matches, all in straight sets, against opponents from Amherst, Conn. College and two from Middlebury to reach Sunday's semifinal round. He lost 6-4, 6-4 to Stan Morris of Middlebury to close out his run. 
• Staples also won four singles matches, beating opponents from Colby, Williams, Tufts and Amherst to reach the semifinal round on Sunday. He lost to eventual singles champ Chase Cohen of Williams, 6-2, 6-2 in the semis. 
• The duo also teamed to reach the round of 16 in the doubles bracket, winning a first round match against a Trinity pairing. 
• Pieter Breuker and Geoffrey Golan also won a doubles match for the Polar Bears to advance to the round of 16.
• Singles players Jack Flores and Ethan Bradley also collected first round wins at the tournament.
