BRUNSWICK, Maine – Torrential rains overnight made Brunswick Golf Club unplayable on Sunday, and shortened the Bowdoin Invitational to a single day of play. Trinity (+6) was declared the winner by finishing in first place after day one, followed by Husson (+9) and Middlebury (+11). Bowdoin finished in a tie for 10th in the 16-team field.
Jack Godin of Trinity claimed medalist honors, shooting a -3 (69) to defeat Colin McCaigue of Middlebury (-2, 70) by a single stroke.
Bowdoin Highlights
- The Polar Bears finished at +30 as a team, tying with Wesleyan for 10th place overall.
- Oscar Wen had a solid +5 (77) to end in 23rd overall as Bowdoin's top finisher.
- Liam Jachetta (+7, 79) was in 36th, followed by Ned Dean (+8, 80) and Reed Foehl (+10, 82) in 54th to round out the Bowdoin scorers.
