WATERVILLE, Maine – The Bowdoin women's swimming and diving team secured a third place finish at the Maine State Meet in Waterville on Saturday.
 
The team sat comfortably in third place with 785 combined points.
 
Meet Highlights

• Bowdoin started the meet strong, with a second place 200 free relay finish. Tatum Zupnik, Ella Riccio, Ella Martin, and Jess Gearan combined for a time of 1:36.57.
• Zupnik tied for second in the 50 fly (26.45) and again finished second in the 100 fly (59.12).
• Anna Roberts set meet and pool records in the 50 breaststroke, finishing in 29.69. Classmate Emilie Grand'Pierre was third (30.12). Roberts also won the 200 IM (2:09.87) and 200 breaststroke (2:21.19). She also took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.44), setting a meet record in the process.
• Martin set a school record in the 50 backstroke (25.57) to win the event, while Frankie Garces finished third (28.21). Martin was runner-up in the 100 backstroke (57.21).
• Riccio had an individual first-place finish in the 100 free (51.72).
• Bowdoin's 200 medley relay entry of Martin, Roberts, Zupnik, and Riccio were first with a time of 1:44.80.
• Kathleen Kemp swam the 1650 and took second place (17:55.54).
• Liv Smith had a podium finish in the 200 backstroke (2:09.88).
• Sadie Smith saw a strong performance in the 3-meter diving event, finishing with 240.80 and a second place finish.
• Bowdoin closed out the meet with a second place finish in the 400 free relay. Riccio, Martin, Kate Fosburgh, and Zupnik combined for a time of 3:31.66.
