MIDDLETOWN, Conn.  – The Bowdoin women's swimming and diving team sits in seventh place following the second complete day of NESCAC action.

Two more school records fell on Saturday at the NESCAC Championships. At the end of the day the Polar Bears sit in seventh place with 416 points.

Meet Highlights

• In the 100 fly prelims sophomore Mary Laurita touched in 55.77 to lower her own school mark. At night she went even faster, racing to a 55.15 to take another six tenths off the mark and finish third and well under the NCAA B cut. 
• Sophomore Ellie Wargo posted a lifetime best time of 57.87 for 12th place in the 100 fly. Senior Ally Fromson-Ho won the PreConsolation final (17th place) in 58.67.
• In the 200 freestyle senior Sterling Dixon touched in 1:50.28 in prelims to secure the second seed and set a new school record. In finals she was just shy of that mark, posting a 1:50.55 to earn second place points and another NCAA B cut. Freshman Kate Fosburgh was 12th overall in 1:54.06.
• Junior Marshall Lowery posted an NCAA B cut time of 56.42 in the 100 backstroke. That time was good for third place overall. Cecilia Dehavenon placed 16th with a time of 59.67.
• First-year Kathleen Kemp went a 10:31.22 for 12th place in the 1000 free. Sophomore Nadia Eguchi was 19th in 10:43.63 and first year Kate Moynihan secured 24th place with a 10:50.49.
• Junior Audrey Aitelli improved on her seed time to finish 22nd in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:08.99.
• The 200 medley relay A team of Lowery, Dixon, Laurita, and Amanda Banasiak finished seventh in 1:46.16. The B team of Dehavenon, Caitlin Loi, Wargo, and Jess Gearan were 19th with a 1:50.85.
