MONTCLAIR, N.J. - The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team rolled to its eighth straight win in a 16-5 non-conference victory at Montclair (N.J.) State on Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears improve to 8-2 after allowing just three goals over the final 45 minutes of the game while the Hawks fall to 4-4 this season.

Game Highlights

• The teams traded goals in the opening quarter before consecutive goals by Shawn Daly and Daniel Buckman gave Bowdoin a 4-2 lead after one period.
• A goal by Montclair's Matt Haemmerle trimmed Bowdoin's lead to 4-3 just ten seconds into the second quarter before the Polar Bears hit their stride.
• Bowdoin scored the final five goals of the second quarter, sparked by a pair of Matthew Crowell goals, to take a commanding 9-3 lead at the break.
• The Polar Bears continued to roll in the third period as Crowell found the back of the goal again along with Donal Mullane and Jimmy Brady to increase the lead to 12-4.
• Bowdoin scored the first four goals of the fourth quarter to cap the victory.
