WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Bowdoin women's swimming and diving team spent the majority of day two of the NESCAC Championship in fourth place, but heads into the final day sitting in fifth.

Meet Highlights

• Senior Caroline Watt raced an exceptional 1,000 freestyle. Watt touched in 10:24.56 to finish in second place. First-year Nadia Eguchi was 13th in 10:41.11.
• Marshall Lowery was also a runner-up, touching in 56.70 in the 100 backstroke. 
• Junior Sterling Dixon placed third in the 400 IM, finishing in 4:28.27.
• The 200 medley relay of Lowery, Mariah Rawding, Mary Laurita, and Amanda Banasiak touched sixth in 1:45.77.
• Laurita tied for fifth in the 100 fly, setting a new school record of 56.89. First-year Ellie Wargo was 14th (58.26) and junior Ally Fromson-Ho was 18th (58.60). 
• Rawding was 13th in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.48) and Kayla Snyder (1:08.49) was 20th. First-years Cecilia de Havenon finished 15th (1:00.08) and Audree Grand Pierre finished 22nd (1:01.32) in the 100 backstroke. 
• In the 200 freestyle, senior captain Linnea Patterson raced to the top of the Consolation final, finishing ninth overall in 1:53.25.
• Patterson later anchored the Polar Bears to a third place finish in the 800 freestyle relay with the team of Wargo, Dixon, and Watt.
