WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Bowdoin women's swimming and diving team concluded the first day of the NESCAC Championship in fifth place.

Day One Highlights

• The 200 freestyle relay of Mary Laurita, Mariah Rawding, Linnea Patterson, and Amanda Banasiak placed sixth in 1:34.79.
• Laurita finished sixth in the 50 butterfly in a new school record time of 25.69.​ Banasiak and Calla Chan were 23rd and 24th. Banasiak also finished fifth in the 50 freestyle.
• Sophomore Marshall Lowery touched third in the 50 backstroke in 26.31, lowering her own school record of 26.49. First-year Cecilia Dehavenon was 17th in 27.68.​
• Rawding finished seventh in the 50 breaststroke (30.16). First-year Kayla Snyder was second in the PreConsolation final, touching 18th overall in 31.81. 
• Senior Caroline Watt touched 11th in the 500 freestyle in 5:03.22 while first-years Ellie Wargo (5:07.74) and Nadia Eguchi (5:11.67) were 18th and 20th. 
• Bowdoin had four swimmers score in the 200 IM. Sterling Dixon led the way in third in 2:05.40. Patterson was tenth (2:07.49) and Claire Wolff (2:11.56) and Ally Fromson-Ho (2:11.73) were 19th and 20th. 
• The 400 medley relay A squad was finished fourth. Lowery, Rawding, Laurita, and Banasiak combined for a 3:50.94 in that event. 
• On the one meter board Thea Kelsey was seventh, Rebecca Stern was eighth and Waverly Harden finished 19th.
