DANBURY, Conn. – The Bowdoin College men's basketball team bounced back in a big way to defeat Worcester State, 90-65, in the consolation game of the Western Connecticut Colonial Classic on Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears (1-1) rebounded from last night's buzzer-beating setback to win their first game of the season. Worcester State falls to 2-3 with the loss.

Game Highlights

• The Polar Bears put the game out of reach early, taking an 18-4 lead just seven minutes into the contest.
• David Reynolds scored eight points in the run that gave Bowdoin the early lead.
• Bowdoin maintained their double-digit lead into the half, 45-30. Reynolds scored 16 and Zavier Rucker added 10 in the first twenty minutes.
• The Polar Bears stretched their lead to as many 36 points down the stretch.

• Bowdoin finished at 55.9% shooting for the game and held a 44-25 edge in rebounding.
• Reynolds led Bowdoin with 24 points while Zavier Rucker added 23 with four assists and three steals.
