BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team won five of six singles matches to dispatch MIT in a non-conference home match on Sunday afternoon at Pickard Courts.

The fourth-ranked Polar Bears continued to roll, winning their third consecutive match to improve to 14-2 on the season. MIT, ranked 22nd in the nation, falls to 13-4 overall.

Match Highlights

• Bowdoin won two doubles matches to take an early lead, getting convincing wins from Jerry Jiang/Kyle Wolfe (8-2) and Gil Roddy/Justin Patel (8-2).
• In singles action, Bowdoin put the match away with a trio of straight-set wins, led by Grant Urken (6-4, 6-2), Kyle Wolfe (6-2, 6-0) and Gil Roddy (6-0, 6-0).
• The Polar Bears capped the day with wins from Luke Tercek (2-6, 6-2, 10-5) and Justin Patel (2-6, 6-4, 10-7).
