BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin baseball team capped its Florida trip with a doubleheader sweep of Keuka on Friday.

The Polar Bears stand at 6-8 overall after 14 games in 12 days down south with a 2-1 win in game one and 6-5 victory in game two.

Game One Highlights

• Brandon Lopez (2-0) was outstanding on the mound for Bowdoin, going a complete game seven innings, allowing just six hits, one earned run and striking out two.
• The Polar Bears scored a single run in the fourth, as Colby Joncas came home on a run-scoring single by Ben Suski.
• Tied at 1-1 heading to the bottom of the seventh, Cody Todesco led off with a single and Lopez doubled, giving Bowdoin runners at second and third. After an intentional walk and force out at home of Todesco that moved runners up, Lopez scampered home on a wild pitch to give Bowdoin the win.
• Todesco, Lopez and Joncas all had two hits in the victory.

Game Two Highlights

• Justin Schachter earned his first collegiate win on the hill for Bowdoin, tossing five strong innings, allowing two earned runs and scattering eight hits.
• Bowdoin built a 4-0 lead thanks to a three-run third inning highlighted by a two-run single from Joncas.
• After Keuka trimmed the lead to 4-2, Bowdoin scored two important insurance runs in the sixth frame, scoring on a Eric Mah sac bunt to plate Suski and a Lopez single that plated Bjorn Hansen.
• Ryan Dixon got the save in the ninth by stranding the potential tying run on third base with a strikeout and pop up to end the game.

• Bowdoin will look to return to action next Sunday, April 2 with a doubleheader scheduled at Amherst.
