Men's Tennis Caps First Week With Sweep of Denison

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win over Denison on Friday in California.

The third-ranked Polar Bears improve to 6-1 with the victory.

Match Highlights

  • Bowdoin took a trio of doubles wins, losing just 10 games in three matches. Luke Tercek/Grant Urken (8-3), Jerry Jiang/Kyle Wolfe (8-5) and Justin Patel/Gil Roddy (8-2) recorded the victories.
  • The Polar Bears are 9-0 in doubles play over their last three matches and 19-2 so far in doubles action this spring.
  • The Polar Bears then earned straight-set wins in all six singles matches. Bowdoin was dominant at positions 4-6, as Jiang (6-2, 6-0), Roddy (6-0, 6-0) and Luke Carstens (6-0, 6-1) helped seal the win.
