Box Score HARTFORD, Conn. – Tyler Whitney tallied a hat trick and added an assist to lift the Trinity men's ice hockey team to a 6-1 win over visiting Bowdoin on Saturday evening.
The 14th ranked Bantams improve to 13-6-3 overall with a 9-5-2 mark in NESCAC action. The Polar Bears drop to 8-14-0 (5-11-0 NESCAC). Bowdoin captured a 5-1 victory over Trinity in Watson Arena on January 14.
Game Highlights
- Trinity went on the board 8:07 into the first period with a power play tally by Anthony Sabitsky. The junior netted the team's first of three special teams goals off a feed from Whitney, wristing a shot top shelf.
- The Bantams carried a 1-0 lead into the second frame when Whitney put away a rebound to double the team's goal total.
- Matt Sullivan put Bowdoin on the board, burying a slap shot off the faceoff feed from Brendan Conroy. Whitney responded 52 seconds later with his second of the day.
- The Bantams put away three goals in the final period to ice the game.

- Peter Cronin made 47 saves in net for Bowdoin as the Polar Bears were outshot by a 53-25 margin. Alex Morin made 24 saves for the hosts.
