ROCKVILLE CENTER, N.Y. - The Bowdoin College women's rugby team dominated en route to 57-17 win over Molloy College in their season-opening match on Saturday afternoon.

Match Highlights

• Bowdoin quickly took a 24-0 halftime lead thanks to three early tries from Paige Pfannenstiel and another by Gardenia Pimentel with two conversion kicks by Elizabeth D'Angelo
• Molloy bounced back after intermission, scoring three tries and a conversions to cut Bowdoin's lead to 31-17 with 22 minutes remaining
• The Polar Bears regained command from there, putting all thoughts of a comeback to rest by scoring 26 consecutive points to cap the contest
• Pfannenstiel scored two more tries while D'Angelo added a try and three conversions to put the contest on ice
• Meredith Outterson also recorded a try in the victory for Bowdoin
