Women's Swimming & Diving Sets 14 School Records En Route to 6th Place NESCAC Finish

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Bowdoin women's swimming & diving team secured a sixth place finish after the three day NESCAC Championship weekend.

Williams captured its third consecutive NESCAC title and 15th overall. The Polar Bears landed just outside the top five with a final point total of 959 after three days.

Meet Highlights

  • Bowdoin divers accounted for 106 points towards the Polar Bears total tally, including second and third place finishes in the 3-meter event. Rebecca Stern finished second with 428.25 points. Christine Anderson took a third place finish in the event with 406.80.
  • Bridget Killian set a pair of school records in the 50 (23.84) and 100 (52.02) free.
  • Lela Garner broke three school records across two disciplines. Garner set new marks in the 200 free (1:52.61), 50 backstroke (26.90), and 100 backstroke (57.21).
  • Mariah Reading had a pair of record breaking performances in the 50 and 100 fly with a 26.08 and 57.82.
  • Ally Fromson-Ho set a new mark in the 200 fly (2:08.37).
  • Mariah Rawding took down three school records in the 50, 100, and 200 breaststroke. Rawding captured an individual NESCAC Championship in the 50 (29.32), a second place finish in the 100 (1:03.39), and third place finish in the 200 (2:19.76).
  • Bowdoin's 400 free relay set a new record with Killian, Garner, Rawding, and Sterling Dixon combining for a 3:27.95.
  • Holly Rudel, Rawding, Reading, and Sophia Walker set a new mark in the 200 medley relay (1:45.48).
  • Garner, Rawding, Reading, and Killian also bested the Bowdoin record in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:48.92.
