Women's Hoops Scores Second-Most Points in Program History In Win Over UMF

FARMINGTON, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's basketball team rolled to a 103-33 non-conference victory over the University of Maine-Farmington on Tuesday evening to remain unbeaten on the season.

The Polar Bears (6-0), ranked 11th in the latest WBCA Division III poll, surpassed the century mark in points for the first time since 2011 and established a new school record for points in a half (58). The 103 points are the second-most scored in a game in program history, second only to the 110 points scored against Thomas in 1978. The Beavers fall to 1-6 with the loss.

  • Bowdoin never trailed, jumping out to a 24-6 lead after seven minutes and holding a 32-13 lead after one quarter.
  • The Polar Bears' 58 first-half points broke the previous mark of 55, set against Thomas in 1978.
