Cross-Country Teams Race Well at Open New England's

BOSTON, Mass. - The Bowdoin College cross-country teams competed in the Open New England Championship at Franklin Park last weekend.

In highly-competitive fields that included numerous Division I schools, the men's team finished 14th in a 34-team race while the women's squad ran to an 18th-place showing among 35 squads.

Highlights

  • Nicholas Walker garnered the top finish of the weekend for the Polar Bears, finishing the men's 8K course in 17th place overall (25:15.46)
  • Sarah Kelley was the top finisher for the Bowdoin women, taking 33rd in the women's 5K (18:35.10)
  • Demi Feder was 66th in the women's race (18:57.98), followed by Sarah Kinney in 101st (19:21.99)
  • Matt Jacobson (43rd, 25:39.90), Bridger Tomlin (67th, 26:01.34) and Calvin Park (92nd, 26:21.97) all earned top-100 finishes for the Bowdoin men
