BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's and women's swimming & diving teams host the University of Maine-Orono in a non-scoring duel meet on Saturday afternoon.
Bowdoin had several top-places finishes on both the men's and women's sides as the Polar Bears competed against Division-I UMO.
Men's Meet Results
- Stephen Pastoriza and JR Chansakul finished 1-2 in the 200 yard free with times of 1:50.57 and 1:50.79 respectively.
- Logan House took a first place finish in the 50 free turning in a 22.43. House also tallied a top finish in the 100 butterfly (53.27).
- Bowdoin captured the top two spots in the 200 IM with Daniel Williams (2:03.82) and Gabriel Siwady (2:08.82) touching the wall before any UMO swimmers.
- Mitch Ryan took first both diving events, compiling 273.22 in the 3-meter and 253.87 in the 1-meter.
- Bowdoin finished 1-4 in the 100 backstroke as Nathan Garner turned in the fastest time of 56.10.
- Karl Sarier finished the 100 yard IM in 54.62 to take first.
- The Polar Bears went 1-2-3 in the 100 backstroke paced by John Lagasse (1:00.51).
- The Bowdoin relay team of Lyle Anderson, Llyod Anderson, Eli Bass, and Chansakul finished first in the 400 free relay (3:21.57).
Women's Meet Results
- Caroline Watt captured a victory in the 500 free, finishing in 5:17.39.
- Lela Garner completed the 200 yard IM in 2:16.44 for a top place finish.
- Christine Anderson finished first in both diving events, compiling 255.37 points in the 3-meter and 233.85 points in the 1-meter.
- Ally Fromson-Ho was the only competitor to break the minute mark in the 100 yard butterfly, finishing in 59.92.
- Mariah Rawding took the first place finish in the 100 IM (1:01.71) followed by Fromson-Ho (1:02.69).
- Rawding was joined by Caty Hanson to finish 1-2 in the 100 backstroke, finishing in 1:09.10 and 1:15.74 respectively.
