Box Score HARTFORD, Conn. – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team fell to sixth-ranked Trinity by a 3-1 final on Saturday afternoon in NESCAC action.
The Bantams improve to 10-3-1 overall and 6-2-0 in NESCAC play. The Polar Bears fall to 4-7-3 (2-5-3 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- Matt Sullivan tallied an unassisted short-handed goal with a pair of Bowdoin players in the box. Sullivan intercepted an errant Trinity pass and skated down the ice into a one-on-one with Alex Morin. The junior netted a wrister to put Bowdoin ahead 1-0 with less than three minutes remaining in the first period.
- Michael O'Brien tied the game with a power play goal midway through the second frame.
- The Bantams pulled ahead four minutes later off a goal by Brandon Cole. Griffyn Martin set up the play with a slapshot on net that was redirected by Connor Hegarty. Cole corralled the puck to poke home the eventual game-winner.
- Trinity ended the game with an empty-netter by Ryan Cole to go ahead 3-1.
