Box Score STANDISH, Maine – Bowdoin baseball dropped its final game of the season in a 6-0 showing at Saint Joseph's College on Sunday afternoon.
The Polar Bears conclude their 2015 schedule with a final mark of 16-19. The Monks are 25-15 with three more games to play in their regular season.
Dan Meeken went eight complete innings on the mound for the Monks to earn the win with six strikeouts and four hits allowed. Corey McNamara came in to closeout the game for Saint Joseph's and completed the team's nine-inning shutout. Logan Simon lasted four innings for Bowdoin before giving way to the bullpen.
The Monks put three runs on the board in the bottom of the fourth. Taylor Reullard got the team started with a one-out double down the leftfield line. Joe Coyne drove in the run with a triple to center and scored on the ensuing play. Dan Donovan tallied an RBI single to wrap up the Monks scoring in the fourth.
Brett Barbati drove in another run in seventh also allowing Coyne to score on another Bowdoin misplay. Erik Jacobsen, Chad Martin, Sam Canales, and Sean Mullaney were the four Polar Bear players to tally hits in the loss.
