Men's Tennis Bounces Back, Cruises Past Hamilton in Saturday Win

CLINTON, N.Y. - The eighth-ranked Bowdoin College men's tennis team got back to its winning ways on Saturday as they easily dispatched Hamilton College 8-1.

The Polar Bears improve to 9-2 this season (3-1 NESCAC) and will travel to fifth-ranked Amherst for a big NESCAC match on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

Bowdoin triumphed in all three doubles matches to grab an early edge and never looked back en route to the win. Luke Trinka/Luke Tercek (8-5), Kyle Wolstencroft/Gil Roddy (8-5) and Kyle Wolfe/Chase Savage (8-4) lifted the team to a 3-0 lead after doubles action.

In singles play, Trinka (6-3, 6-1) cruised at #1 to lead five straight-set Bowdoin wins. Wolfe (6-1, 6-2), Tercek (7-6, 6-1), Roddy (6-4, 6-1) and Hugh Mo (6-2, 6-1) rounded out the Polar Bear winners.
