Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team suffered its first shutout of the season as the Polar Bears fell 3-0 to Colby on Friday evening in the opener of a home-and-home series between the rivals.
The Polar Bears (1-4-1, 0-2-1 NESCAC) surrendered a goal in each period as the Mules (2-2-1, 1-2-0 NESCAC) tallied their first conference win of the season.
Game Highlights
- Devin Albert took the puck and skated in, passing to EJ Rauseo cutting toward the net. Rauseo immediately pushed the puck back to Albert for the one-timer at 15:34 of the first period.
- Mario Benicky's pass out front was caught by Michael Rudolf who put the puck in for a 2-0 lead 7:37 into the second.
- The Mules got an insurance goal at 4:45 of the third period on the power play. Colby put pressure on for nearly a minute before Nick O'Connor scored off a rebound from a shot by Jack Burton.

- Emerson Verrier earned his first career shutout with 43 saves against the Polar Bears.
