Men's Basketball Falls To Western Conn In Season Opener

BRISTOL, R.I. - The Bowdoin College men's basketball team lost its season-opener to Western Connecticut State, 94-77, at the Roger Williams Tip-Off Tournament on Friday night.

The Polar Bears (0-1) will play in the consolation game against against Daniel Webster on Saturday.

Game Highlights

  • A big first half lifted Western Conn to an early lead that proved too big for Bowdoin to overcome
  • The Polar Bears sprinted to a 7-2 lead, but WCSU got hot from the field, replying with a 26-6 run to take a 28-13 lead
