How It Happened
- Rachel Kennedy got Bowdoin on the board with an early goal three minutes into the contest. Setting up the penalty corner, Kelsey Mullaney took a hard drive from the top of the circle that Kennedy, standing on the stroke line, deflected inside the right post.
- Patty Smith made the initial stop on another Mullaney drive from the top in the eighth minute, but Ganong quickly tracked the rebound and batted in her first goal of the evening.
- Smith made 11 saves in the opening half, keeping her team within striking distance as Bowdoin entered halftime with a 2-0 lead.
- Ganong scored her second of the game eight minutes into the second half, finishing off a quick transition play with a feed from Kennedy.
- Liz Znamierowski rounded out the day's offense with a goal at 23:00. After forcing a turnover in UMF's defensive end, Emily McColgan carried into the circle before dishing left to Ganong. Ganong crossed the ball, allowing Znamierowski to pressure pads and find the back of the net.
- Smith made six saves in the second half before being relieved by Alyssa Arsenault. Arsenault made three stops in 12:18 minutes of play. Bowdoin's Clara Belitz and Liz Rill combined for the shutout.
- Torrie Nightingale made a goal line stop on a Bowdoin shot in the first half. Bowdoin outshot the Beavers 36-0 with a 15-0 edge in penalty corners.
