ORONO, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's rugby team recorded another shutout in a 36-0 triumph at the University of Maine-Orono on Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears stand at 5-0 this season with one match remaining in the regular season.

How It Happened

• Bowdoin took the lead 15 minutes into the match when flanker Paige Pfannenstiel broke loose from 40 meters out to record Bowdoin's first try, converted by Addison Carvajal for a 7-0 lead
•  Pfannenstiel doubled Bowdoin's lead off a feed from Katie Craighill, converted by Carvajal again to make it 14-0
• Cristina Lima added a try before the break before Pfannenstiel added her third of the half. Carvajal pitched in another conversion and the Polar Bears took a 26-0 advantage into intermission
• UMO upped their defensive pressure in the second half, making harder work for the Polar Bears. Le'Shauna Phinazee had one try as did Carvajal to round out the scoring
• Bowdoin's defense locked down the Black Bears all afternoon thanks to the efforts of Lima, Anna Piotti, Elena Schaef, Vianney Gomezgil, Alice Kim, Phinazee and Georgia Bolduc
